Consul Max Wolfgang Buch receives Federal Service Cross
Tribute paid to owner of brush factory ASTRO in Puente del Jarro
On 28th May 1998, the German Ambassador to Spain, Dr Henning Wegener awarded the Federal Service Cross of the first Order to Consul Max Wolfgang Buch, president of the Spanish Brush Manufacturer's Association. The ceremony in Valencia / Spain was attended by many high-ranking personalities and dignitaries from political, industrial and cultural life.
In his speech, Dr Wegener paid tribute to Mr Buch, thanking him for his services towards consolidating German/Spanish business and cultural exchange and for the exemplary way in which he had looked after the interests of the numerous German residents, holiday-makers and tourists in his administrative district. Mr Buch was also given this high award in appropriate recognition of his many honorary offices and posts.

The Spanish brush factory ASTRO has existed since1885. The company is owned by the German Consul Wolfgang Buch.
